Lump Levels

This sculpture and photograph series explores the many ways in which dragging around one's body can effect disposition and vice versa. It's a personal back and forth relationship, which varies daily due to internal and external forces.

Dragging a female form through a society that has a wide range of opinions on the value of a body, will forever add artifice and uncertainty to the relationship between self and form. This body of work exaggerates form to reflect the sense of containment and exhaustion. Some days are better than others, but everyday it's a female form we're dragging around town.
